This was painted from life but I did photo the set-up so I could finish from that, or set-up the stuff again since summer fruit is starting.
My problem is that big gaping space in the middle. It would be a challenging to add something but maybe that is what I should do. Above is a little recipe box that was made by my grandmother and tucked away in my hope chest when I was around 10 years old. Do they even do cedar hope chests any more? My mother had a very large one but mine was just a tiny 2' x 1' chest. I always teased my mother that she didn't have much hope for me. (chuckle)

I am so excited to get back this afternoon and FEST!This is a Chinese Snowball (Viburnum, could be Japanese or Eastern). It is a fabulous show each year. I feel so lucky to have inherited this tree. The house was built in 1913 (13 is my lucky numero) and we are the 5th owner.
