I used to be the CFO of an investment bank owned by venture capitalists. The day after 911 I told my boss, who had just been imported from Wall St. to Palm Springs, that I had always wanted to paint. He said. "What in the fuck are you waiting for?"
So, I quit.
10 years of happy.
How is it that I got the gift of life and so many lost theirs?
It is still really, really, really, really important not to waste a minute.

YES! I am thrilled to bits over that hand, so unique. I have been collecting them as painting props. I want to do an oil still life of a bunch of them.
